1) INSTALLATION
   ____________

QUESTION: During installation, I am asked if I want to install DirectX 6.
What should I do?

ANSWER: DirectX 6 is required to run MotoRacer 2. If an older version is
already installed (for example DirectX 3 or DirectX 5), it is necessary to
update it to DirectX 6. Games requiring a previous version of DirectX should
still function with DirectX 6 as it is designed to be backward compatible.
If you accept the installation of DirectX 6 and a version of DirectX is
already installed on your PC, a dialog box may pop up with a button labeled
"Reinstall DirectX".

QUESTION: I have a Voodoo2 3D accelerator and a Matrox Millennium video board
but the game does not use the Voodoo2 3D accelerator. What's wrong?

ANSWER: The drivers for your Matrox Millennium board are probably outdated
and not allowing Moto Racer 2 to default the game's display driver to your
VooDoo2 card. Download the most recent drivers from Matrox's web site at
http://www.matrox.com/mga/drivers/home.htm to correct this problem.

QUESTION: Why don't I see the videos that normally precede the game?

ANSWER: There are two possible reasons why you don't see videos:
1. DirectX Media is required. If it is not detected on your system, you will
be prompted to run the DirectX Media installation the first time a video should
play. You may also choose to launch the installation manually by clicking on the
dxmedia.bat file included in the DirectX6 folder on your CD.
2. The MotoRacer 2 CD must be in the CD-ROM drive if you chose not to install the
videos on your hard drive.

QUESTION: Why do I get a dialog stating there is not enough video memory when I
launch the game?

ANSWER: The screen area you are using under Windows is too large, try reducing it
to 800x600 or 640x480. You can change this setting by right clicking on the Desktop
and selecting Properties, then going to the Settings tab.

If that fails, increase the "AGP aperture" in your BIOS settings during reboot.

QUESTION: I have a graphics card with a Riva 128 chip on it. When I try to race I get
graphic distortion?

ANSWER: There may be problems caused by running at resolutions greater than 640x480 or trying
to run in a window. Please ensure that you have the latest drivers for your particular board.
If this still does not solve the problem, first make sure that you are in fullscreen mode when
racing (by hitting Alt-Enter), exit to the main menu and select the Display menu (which is
available under the Options menu) and select 640x480 for the fullscreen resolution. Completely
exit and then restart the game. The game should now run correctly.

QUESTION: Why do I get a rainbowing effect of the color palette and/or the game is
too slow to be playable even in low resolutions?

ANSWER: Your video card may not fully support all of the 3D features of Moto Racer 2.
Click on the Windows START/Programs/Moto Racer 2 and select the Moto Racer 2 (no D3D)
option. This will start the game in the Software Render mode.

QUESTION: Why does my ghost rider flicker in and out of existence when racing in Time
Attack mode.
